Festival Season – what to wear this summer
Festival season is in full swing – and over the past few years festivals have popped up for every style of music you can imagine. Now just because you’re in a muddy field, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t fix up – look sharp – and be dressed for the occasion.
We love laid back festival style, so have found some of our favourite pieces for festival style to carry you through the summer!
What to wear to a summer festival
Step one: a great waterproof coat.
So, parkas never go out of style – and so a lightweight, waterproof one would be an excellent bet for a UK festival – where, let’s face it, rain is never quite out of the mind. Marks and Spencer have come up trumps with this cheap, cheerful and very stylish parka jacket. I love the long length – so when you’re sitting down, your bum is covered and you stay warm and dry. £55 and size 6-18. Snap yours up online quicker than you can say Liam Gallagher..
Step two: a go-to tee
You know we’re big stripe fans here at nothing to wear. They’re easy to wear, stylish and never date. We think hush are top of the pops when it comes to striped goodness, and love this chic black and white number, with a relaxed fit – now reduced in their summer sale to £25 so don’t delay.
Step three: hit the denim
No fabric works harder than demin – but jeans in a wet field can be impossible to dry! So we prefer a denim skirt. That way – if it’s sunny those legs can get a tan, and if it’s wet – those legs can dry! This knee length buttoned number will see you from summer all year round – we do love a piece that works in every season. AND – it’s in the sale. Oh yes – now just £35
